The Language Room translation service is a human translation agency. All our translations are carried out by experienced, qualified, native-speaking professional translators and never by automatic translation software.
How can I count the words in my document?
If the document is in Microsoft® Word® use the "Word Count" function in the Word® Tools menu. However, if the document is in another format (printed, HTML, PHP, ASP, etc.), simply send us your file and we will count the words for you straight away.
What can The Language Room translate?
We translate from practically any electronic format and, where possible, we maintain the same format and layout of the original.
For web and software programs, we know the importance of every single tag and we apply strict control systems to verify their integrity.

When will the job be delivered?
This depends on the length. To give you an example, these are our average delivery times for translation only documents received before 12:00:
- up to 500 words - returned to you the next working day
- 1,000 to 2,000 words - returned to you within two working days
- over 2,000 words - once started our output is 2,500 words per day.
However, if you require a larger document in a shorter period of time, just say. We will get it treated in a fast and efficient manner using several translators at the same time.
How can I pay?
We accept all of the following methods of payment:
- Major credit cards and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, etc)
- BACS
- PayPal
When do I need to pay?
New customers need to pay before delivery of their translated documents. After that, clients can raise invoices and your translation will be delivered with an invoice containing all the information for making payment. For all orders above 1000 GBP a deposit of 50% is required before starting the translation.
What guarantees do I have regarding quality?
We only work with native speaker professional qualified translators. When a job has been proofread you can be assured of the highest quality your document deserves. We work with our own group of highly rated professional translators throughout the world, only taking the best for each specific languages unlike other agencies who only have a limited pool of in-house translators.
What guarantees do I have regarding deadlines?
The Language Room guarantees that all deadlines will be respected.

How do I know that you will treat my file as confidential?
All our translators sign confidentiality agreement. If you require translators to sign your own disclosure or confidentiality documents this can be easily arranged.
How can I send you a document or file?
You can send the document as an attachment to translation@thelanguageroom.com . If it is a printed document, you can send it by fax, mail or courier.
Can I get an estimate for a printed document?
Certainly, just send us the document by fax or by post. Please indicate the languages required and your contact details (telephone numbers, e-mail, address, company details, etc.) and we will send you a quotation the same day.
How can I send you a file that is over 2.5 megabytes in size?
We can receive files up to 5 megabytes. For files larger than 5 megabytes, it is best to set up a seperate FTP access and we will help you to set this up.
What is localization and what does localization mean?
Localization is making you translation (software, website and documentation) fit exactly an audience in a different country, culture, or region of the world. Localization is more than translation because it involves cultural adaptation and requires knowledge of the local language and culture
